Nokia 1 and 5.1 start receiving the August security update

Next Nokia smartphones in the line for the August security update are the Nokia 1 and the new Nokia 5.1. The latest August update started hitting the Nokia 1 and Nokia 5.1 during the weekend, or to be more, I got it for the Nokia 1 today, while the update hit our review unit of Nokia 5.1 yesterday. Both devices received just the security patch.

As always, the update is rolling out in ways and the availability depends on the market, carrier and model number, so if you didn’t get the update, be patient because it will eventually be available.
