Nokia 8 Sirocco launched in China; HMD enters a new market – Uruguay

The design masterpiece HMD announced last month at MWC 2018, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is officially launched in China with a price tag of 4699CNY or about 600 euros (750 dollars). The device, as well as other Nokia phones available in China, will be available via JD.com. Pre-registrations for the first flash sale, that is scheduled in a week, are already open. You can check the offer at JD.com here.

A new market HMD is entering in 2018 is Uruguay, a country located South America. HMD’s presence in South American region overall isn’t that great (Chile, Columbia, Peru, Mexico) and it is good to see them expanding and bring newer devices to that markets. Cromo.com.uy reports that HMD Global will start selling the Nokia 2 (€120), Nokia 3 (€160), Nokia 5 (€208), Nokia 6.1 (€273) and the Nokia 8 (€322) in Urugay. The prices of lower end models are a bit high, but the Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 8 are very well priced there.

The global sales of the new smartphones is expected to start next month.
