Rumors: The Bond phone might be the Nokia 7.3? Or an old dummy unit? HMD’s CPO excited!

Thanks to the eagle eye of one of our readers, we had the chance to discover an unknown Nokia smartphone that was used on the filming set of the upcoming James Bond movie “No Time To Die”. Nokia Mobile is the official partner of the movie and the appearance of the Nokia 5.3 has already been confirmed.

The prototype device pictured at the table has a design similar to Nokia 5.3 and 8.3, but also Nokia 6.2 and 7.2. The video was released last year, so it could be an early design prototype/dummy unit of one of the already released devices that didn’t make the final pick. Because of the unique LED position, there is also a possibility that this a prototype of a device we have yet to see.

Well-known source of Nokia leaks Nokia_Anew posted on Twitter that his is, according to his source, a prototype of the device that will be called Nokia 7.3. We already heard some rumors of the 7.3, including that it might sport a high refresh rate display and be launched in September 2020 at IFA.

I personally remain sceptical because companies often test different designs for their devices and make different prototypes. So, this could be a design of Nokia 5.3/6.2/7.3/8.3 that never saw the light of the day, but it could also be the upcoming Nokia 7.3. In any case, next month is already September (the rumored launch date) so we will hopefully soon see the new additions to Nokia Mobile’s lineups.

Meanwhile, Nokia Mobile’s Chief Product Officer and Vice President for North America Juho Sarvikas said via Twitter that he is excited and can’t wait. We are not sure if he is excited for the unknown device (that we might soon see?), the movie or both?
