Nokia 3.4 (codenamed Dr. Strange) with Snapdragon 460 appears on Geekbench

A new Nokia device appeared on Geekbench with the codename Dr. Strange. We know from before, that Nokia Mobile likes to use Marvel codenames and Dr. Strange is one of the characters for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The device is a lower end /midrange phone, sporting the new Snapdragon 460 and 3GB of RAM.

91mobiles spotted the phone in the Geekbench database and it is assumed that this device should commercially be available as Nokia 3.4. What’s good in this leak is the choice of SoC. The Snapdragon 460 platform was announced in January this year and, even though it is aimed at the budget segment of the market, it brings 70% improvements over its predecessor and even support for WiFi6 (that’s left on smartphone vendors to use).

If we speculate about release dates, IFA 2020 might next month is a good candidate for announcement. Nokia Mobile is also holding a press briefing in India in a few days, so maybe they will surprise us and announce the 3.4 there?
