Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 getting new Android 9 Pie build (V6.17D) with April 2019 security patch
Nokia Mobile today started releasing a new update for the two-year old Nokia 5 (2017) and Nokia 6 (2017). The first generation of Nokia devices received a new Pie build (V6.17D) which is around 700MB in size and comes with the April 2019 security update.

HMD Global had to delay the March update to April for Nokia 2, 5, 6 and 8 because of problems found with the update and now the Company is catching up by delivering the April update in the First week of May. The hefty new Android Pie build surely comes with a lot of under the hood improvements, so if you have a 5 or 6, do head to Settings and check if the update is available.
