Entry level Nokia TA-1515 certified by FCC

Although many expected Nokia Mobile to announce new devices for the American market at CES2023, that didn’t happen. Nokia Mobile was there, but in a strange part of the congress which is not set for showing up new devices. A rugged X30 was expected but the plans have shifted, most likely for MWC2023 or even sooner. Thanks to the EUIPO page, five new designs of Nokia phones have been protected so at least five new Nokia phones are expected. However, what will be coming is unknown.

The recent FCC certificates might shed some light on the soon-to-be-announced devices. One of them could be Nokia TA-1515 which just got certified. According to the basic specs and diagrams, an entry-level device can be expected.

The device has most likely a removable back cover based on the pins seen in the antenna location diagram. The rest of the specs shared reveal that it will be coming with support for all the networks and WiFi frequencies.

I really expected to see the Nokia Sentry, or the rugged version of X30, maybe the successor of the XR20. However, we’ll have to wait a bit more, as usual.
