Nokia Mobile updated the official update tracker, Nokia XR20 got its first update

Nokia Mobile updated its Smartphone Security Maintenance Release Summary page on August 5, 2021. It presents the details about the availability of the security patches (SP) and maintenance releases (MR) for Nokia smartphones, alongside the SP version and the Software (SW) ID. Additionally, it mentions the scheme of updates, whether it is monthly or quarterly, and the month and year until which the device will get the security patches.

The updated summary reveals that Nokia Mobile has rolled out new updates for around 17 phones since July 23. It also includes the two latest smartphones, Nokia XR20 and Nokia C30, as they are receiving a new Maintenance Release (MR) alongside the June security patch (SP). Wave 1 rollout of Android 11 with June SP for Nokia 5.3 began on August 4.

Nokia 2.4, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.4, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia G20, and Nokia X20 jumped to the July SP. Apart from that, Nokia C1 2nd Edition, Nokia C01 Plus, Nokia C2, Nokia C20, and Nokia X10 received a new MR paired with the July security patch.

The Nokia 3.1 also received the July update sized at 65.11 MB, but the summary does not show that. With that, the period for guaranteed security patch updates for the Nokia 3.1 comes to an end. Thank you, Esko Gardner, for sharing it.

To find the information about your device on the page, select your Nokia smartphone from the drop-down menu and find the SW ID that resembles the one that you have on your device in the ‘About’ section in the ‘Settings.’

On a side note, the summary says that the Nokia C30 will get updates once every two months (bimonthly), while it remains quarterly (once every three months) for the rest of the C series devices.
