Nokia G300 5G is a US exclusive, TracFone leaks images, specs and manuals
When @evleaks tweeted that the upcoming Nokia phones included the Nokia G300 and Nokia X100, it did create some suspense as to what devices these could be. It was because of the numbers like 100 and 300 in the names, especially when the current lineup still has 50 at max, i.e., the Nokia G50.
However, as it turns out, the Nokia G300, codenamed as Aoki, is not what we were probably thinking, but a carrier-locked phone on TracFone’s network for the US. Though the device has not yet gone live, TracFone has revealed almost everything, including the images, specifications, and user manuals, about the Nokia G300 on its support website.
The phone with the model number N1374DL or TA-1374 comes in a Grey looking shade with TracFone’s logo at the back. There is a hybrid SIM card chassis, with the second slot either for a SIM card or a microSD card, at the left alongside the Google Assistant button. At the bottom, it has a USB Type-C port, loudspeaker, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a microphone. There is another microphone at the top, and the volume buttons are there on the right with the fingerprint scanner embedded power button.
Like the other G series phones, the Nokia G300 also gets an HD+ display (1600 x 720 p) with a V-notch, but the screen size is not detailed. They also mention the PPI (pixels per inch) to be 386, but it seems to be a mistake since that results in a screen size of about 4.5-inch. Its dimensions are 167 x 78 x 9 mm, and it weighs about 210 g.
The camera department is where this phone is a downgrade compared to the Nokia G20. The Nokia G300 gets a 16 MP primary camera, 5 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP depth sensor with the LED flash fit within the rear camera module. The thick outer ring makes the camera housing look similar to the G20. Anyways, at the front, it has an 8 MP shooter. The video recording resolution is said to be 1080 p at 30 fps, but a screenshot in the tutorial also shows 1080 p at 60 fps.
The amount of RAM is not specified, but it comes with 64 GB of internal storage and expandable storage of up to 1 TB. The Nokia G300 will operate on Android 11. It is equipped with the 4470 mAh battery that we have already seen in the Nokia X20 and Nokia X10. The company claims a standby time of up to 28 days and 11.5 hours and a talk time of up to 14.4 hours.
The processor is not confirmed, but going by the specifications, it is yet another Nokia phone powered by the Snapdragon 480 5G platform. It gets a Smart PA speakerphone, which will protect the speaker from damage at high volume levels without compromising the sound quality. It seems to be using the global UI, which was not the case with the other carrier-locked phones.

As it turns out, the device fits somewhere between the Nokia G50 and Nokia G20. The Nokia G300 has 5G, but the Nokia G20 offers a 48 MP rear camera. So, in the end, the decision to go with either of these phones will boil down to their prices. Given that the Nokia G300 is not a global phone, the Nokia X100 might very well be another carrier-locked phone, and the global phones might continue to use two digits in the names.
On the other hand, the Nokia N139DL is a new 4G KaiOS feature phone for TracFone. These TracFone devices will also be available through its subsidiaries like Net10 Wireless, Simple Mobile, Straight Talk Wireless, and Total Wireless.
